Food Bag Appeal 2005 update

During the period from Rosh Hashana to Succot 2005, Temple Emanuel Woollahra contributed 250 bags of food as part of a Mazon food drive. This food was donated to Norman Andrews House, a community centre at Bondi Beach. The photo above shows Steve Denenberg, CEO of Temple Emanuel, handing over the food. Below is a quote from the community minister of the centre, Frances Wootton:

We here at Norman Andrews House wish to offer our sincerest thanks to the congregation at Temple Emanuel for your kind donation of Mazon bags. We were overwhelmed by the wonderful generosity and support that you have shown. As you know we rely on the support of the community to offer many of our services, and your food donations will help make Christmas a more enjoyable experience for many of our vulnerable clients. Our thanks go out to each and everyone of the congregation and we wish you many happy returns of the season.
